Our Year -- 2001

The year started off with a major family event -- the arrival of Joseph Robert Thresh Jr. in March. His parents Joe Thresh and April Karsemeyer have enjoyed every minute of his life this year.

Davis' boys, Victor and Spencer, visited often. Here they are stepping on a quilt in our yard. The quilt has their footprints on it (before they stepped on it!).

Watson got his very first hair cut this July and everyone at the family gathering at Butch and Virginia's thought we had a new dog.

A joyful family happening -- Davis announced his engagement to Toni Brinkman this year. They will be married on January 25, 2002.

Hannah Grace invited us to celebrate her 3rd birthday on October 1st. She is such a beautiful little girl.

We attended Lydia Van Gelder's 90th birthday party in Sonoma County. It was so good to see many of our old friends. Lydia has not changed a bit since Christine took spinning and natural dyeing classes with her in the 1970s. Really, look at her picture in the center below -- you should look so good at 90! Dorothy Beebee is on the left and Kay Elsbree is on the right.

Little Joey experienced his first Christmas this year. It looks as if he liked the idea.

Here we are at Sylvia and Jess's home on December 26th -- Jess's birthday. What a handsome group!
